If The Smell Of These Candles Makes You Hungry, You Can Actually Eat Them

If you're sick of not being able to eat candles that emit a smell so tantalizing you just want to bite into them, we have some good news.

We've all been in that situation where you walk into a store and your mouth just starts to water. Whether it be a bakery, your favorite restaurant, or some other store offering up delectable treats. However, most of you have also likely stumbled into a store where the items on sale smell good enough to eat, but nothing is edible.

It can be a frustrating and potentially a dangerous predicament. The cosmetics store Lush is an example that immediately springs to mind. Its shelves are filled with fruity and sweet soaps and bath bombs that are made from some delicious ingredients. Even though we know the soap element makes them taste disgusting, we still want to take a bite, right? We know it's not just us.

Candles fall into that same bracket for many of us. You can now buy candles that smell of pretty much anything your heart desires. But again, you're going to have a pretty upset stomach if you take a waxy bite of a sweet smelling candle. Unless you purchase them from Smith & Sinclair that is. Delish reports that the UK-based company has created some edible candles, and we can't wait to get our hands on them.

Smith & Sinclair has labeled it the Flaming Hot Choc candle, and that's because it recommends pouring the melted wax into an already made hot chocolate to flavor it. The candles are made using a combination of coconut oil and raw cocoa butter and come in two different flavors, spiced orange and candy cane peppermint.

Although Smith & Sinclair recommends pouring the wax into a mug of hot chocolate, we think we're going to go right ahead and swig it straight out of the jar. That way we can make all our visiting relatives think we're even stranger this holiday season. If you want them in time for Christmas though, you'll have to act fast. Since the company is based in the UK, shipping to the US takes 7-10 days, or maybe even longer due to the time of year.
