Häagen-Dazs Releases New Booze-Infused Ice Cream Flavours

Häagen-Dazs debuts their line of booze-infused ice cream flavours with six different ones to choose from. The “Häagen-Dazs Spirits” is slowly rolling out to stores across the US, and the company stated that they should be “widely available” by April.

The new line is booze-flavoured, but they will not get you drunk no matter how much you eat. Each tub’s alcohol content is 0.5%, so you probably won’t feel much even if you eat a whole pint to yourself. The ice cream line is more for those who enjoy the flavour of some alcoholic beverages and not for those who want a one-stop-shop for sweets and tipsiness. If you were planning to get drunk and eat ice cream, you still have to go buy yourself a bottle to drink.

The six flavours are based on pastries or sweets that already use some alcohol in their recipes, and Häagen-Dazs just turned them into ice cream form. The available flavours are Irish Cream Brownie, Rum Tres Leches, Bourbon Vanilla Bean Truffle, Stout Chocolate Pretzel Crunch, Bourbon Praline Pecan, and non-dairy Amaretto Black Cherry Almond Toffee. Each 14-ounce tub will retail for $5.29, and Haagen-Dazs shops will also have the flavours on their menus starting March 1st. In-store, you can get these flavours in a cup, cone, Sunday, or premium milkshake.

Häagen-Dazs has made boozy ice cream available for more people, but the idea of a cocktail-infused ice cream is not new. New York’s Tipsy Scoop sells artisanal ice cream flavoured by well-loved cocktails. Some classic flavours include Maple Bacon Bourbon, Raspberry Limocello Sorbet, Cake Batter Vodka Martini, and Tequila Mexican “Hot” Chocolate—just to name a few. They also make seasonal flavours like Strawberry Chocolate Kiss Martini for Valentine’s Day. They deliver their products, so you can get a tipsy pint, ice cream cakes, or ice cream sandwiches to your home anywhere in the country.

The booze-infused ice cream is perfect for many occasions. Whether it’s a celebration, mending a broken heart, or just a Netflix-watching snack, these new flavours will hit the spot. Even though you can’t get drunk on this ice cream, it’s still best to pace yourself and look after your health.
