When it comes to food, there’s a lot of hit and miss, even at renowned restaurants. But when the eateries come with a recommendation from a celebrity? That’s when fans know they’ve got a winner.
Whether it’s a family get-together, a romantic date night, or taking the kids out for a quick bite, there are a range of restaurants that will fill the void and leave diners with a smile on their faces. And for the Kardashian family, who are known for being picky about everything from makeup to clothes to food, fans know they won’t be stopping in at just any dive for a filling dish.
Of course, even though the Kardashian-Jenner family is located in the Los Angeles area—Calabasas, CA to be exact—that doesn’t mean their favorite foods come from the California coast. After all, they’re Kardashians—which means they can travel anywhere their hearts desire, even if it is just over to Louisiana for some delectable pastries.
Whether it’s Kendall jetting off to the UK for a modeling shoot or Kim traveling to NYC with friends, there are plenty of tasty recommendations to come from the Kar-Jenner clan’s traipsing around the world. And while plenty of these places are way too extravagant for the average non-celeb, many more are quite affordable—even surprisingly so—leaving fans to believe that a little bit of Kardashian-level culinary delight can be theirs, too.
Here are 20 of the Kardashians’ favorite restaurants, including picks from everyone from Kris to Kanye and everyone in between.
20 Kim Craves Café Du Monde
This restaurant is all the way in New Orleans, but that’s NBD for someone like Kim Kardashian-West, who has a private jet to get her wherever she needs to be. And at one point, she needed to be at Café du Monde for some of their delectable beignets. Apparently the “French market coffee stand” is a New Orleans, Louisiana staple, and Kim likes to drop in whenever she’s in the area (or when she’s not). No word on how their coffee is, though, and we’re kind of curious—after all, the coffee is the co-headliner along with those clearly epic beignets.
19 Carbing Up At Joe’s Pizza
You may have thought that with all the salads and sushi on the menu, the Kardashian-Jenner ladies never eat like “normal” people. But that’s not the case—at least, not according to one episode of KUWTK that highlighted Kim, Khloe, and a friend’s trip to NYC. Apparently it was Kim who insisted they stop by a New York eatery that offered traditional pizza—and her wish was fulfilled. She opted for a basic slice of pepperoni pizza, but everyone knows that pizza in New York City is anything but basic. It might be salads back home, but when in NYC? Splurge on pizza!
18 Satisfying Sweet Cravings With Hansen’s Cakes
The Kardashian Jenner crew has used local baker Hansen’s Cakes of Los Angeles for so many family events and birthdays that we’ve kind of lost track of them. Kim famously picked her cake for her wedding to Kris Humphries here, but Mason Disick also enjoyed one of Hansen’s specials for an early birthday party. Then there was a party for North, celebratory cakes for baby showers, and more! It seems like every time the Kardash clan needs a cake, they swing by Hansen’s to grab one—or custom-order it to suit the occasion. And if you want to know more about the cakes the Kardashians pick, check out Hansen’s blog for information—they tend to be very vocal about their favorite celeb customers!
17 Kylie’s Always Spotted At Sugarfish
Something that many fans already know about Kylie Jenner is that she loves sushi—so much so that she’s even ventured out to Sugarfish in LA for a plate of her favorite sushi. At times, she’s even gone without a full face of makeup—and that’s saying something for the makeup mogul sensation. It’s actually amusing how many times Kylie’s been snapped by the paparazzi at Sugarfish. Maybe she’s got some kind of promotional deal with the establishment? But either way, we don’t care—good sushi is good sushi, and if it’s tasty enough to keep celebs coming back, it’ll do for us mere mortals.
16 Family Fun Happens At Nobu
Nobu is another celebrity haunt in Los Angeles where the elite can indulge in their sushi cravings. But for the Kardashian family, it’s also a great spot for celebratory meals. Like when Kris Jenner landed the cover on Haute Living—the pic above shows Kendall and Kylie dining with their mom after the cover’s debut. And although it’s been a long time in celeb years since that celebratory dinner (that cover was in 2015!), the family still frequents Nobu—as does Scott Disick’s current beau Sophia Richie, among other notable celebs like Kate Upton, Rita Ora, Sofia Vergara, Chrissy Teigen, and even Janet Jackson!
15 Kris Jets Off To This South Of France Eatery
While most of us have to settle for the café across town for a fresh and tasty dining experience, Kris Jenner and her beau Corey Gamble don’t have to settle at all. Which is why no one was surprised when Kris shared snaps on her social media of her and Corey’s plates—and the amazing view—from Eden-Roc Restaurant at Hotel du Cap in South France. Even if we could afford the hotel rooms there, we probably couldn’t afford the mouthwatering watermelon salad Kris ordered, let alone the salmon and sushi they sampled—or the perfectly aged vino they indulged in on their balcony while watching the sunset.
14 Kim (And North) Lunch At Carpaccio
A few months ago, Kim was criticized pretty heavily for taking North to lunch at Carpaccio. Why? Because she had North sit with a nanny at a separate table from her mom. The thing is, Kim was filming for KUWTK, and she clearly didn’t want North (or the nanny) on camera. Obviously filming with kids is tough, and Kim’s trio is already on camera often enough as it is. Such as in this snap of she and North heading into Carpaccio for lunch! The high-end Italian restaurant isn’t exactly kid-friendly, but one thing that didn’t make headlines was North’s table manners—so we bet she’s used to fine dining!
13 Gotta Have ‘Em Salads From Health Nut
If you’ve ever watched even a single episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, you’ve probably seen at least one of the ladies munching on a giant salad. And while they’ve become the subject of many a meme for their lettuce-loving ways, the Kardashian sisters swear by their salads, most of which apparently come from Health Nut, a local eatery with a penchant for peach tea and elaborate salads. This one is technically takeout, since the girls usually have their salads at home, but they’ve inspired tons of viewers and fans to go the greener route whether they’re dining in or out.
12 The Whole Family Keeps Coming Back To Carousel
Carousel is one of the restaurants the Kardashan-Jenner clan has loved forever, because it’s one of the places that the late Robert Kardashian used to take his family to regularly. Kim has said that her dad used to take the family to the Armenia-style restaurant, so his girls make it a point to go there now at least once a month. Kim also spent her 37th birthday at Carousel, making it onto the restaurant’s social media pages in the process. The upscale restaurant serves traditional middle eastern cuisine from Lebanon, and its trademark is mezze-style servings of small portions of a variety of dishes.
11 Scott Savors Some Sugar Factory
Scott used to own his own restaurant (it closed in 2014), so it makes sense that he’d be passionate about good food, too. And while he’s not technically part of the Kardashian-Jenner fam anymore, he’s still in enough episodes of KUWTK that we know what he’s up to! And one of the things he’s seen doing often is hanging out with longtime GF Sophia Richie, who he went out to eat with at Sugar Factory in one iconic date night back in 2017. Of course, this wasn’t the only time a Kardashian celeb was spotted at Sugar Factory in Miami—it’s also a top spot for the rest of the family, too.
10 Kim Likes Casa Vega For Casual Mexican Eats
While tacos and burritos might not be best for maintaining one’s figure, it turns out that Kim and her sisters (and mom and all the guys in the fam, too) enjoy stopping by Casa Vega every so often for a more casual meal. In fact, Kim has also made an appearance wearing some casual clothes (reportedly a sweat suit) on the restaurant’s social media accounts. And she’s been spotted there since at least 2013, when she was pregnant and apparently craving some spicy eats. Of course, she’s not the only celeb who loves a plate at Vega—Sandra Bullock and Miley Cyrus have also been spotted dining there.
9 Low-Key (& Kid-Friendly) Eats At Marmalade Café
This restaurant has a bunch of Los Angeles-area eateries and offers up breakfast foods and California-inspired dishes. And since Kourtney and her kids are apparently fans of Marmalade Café, it’s clearly got some kid-friendly menu items for even the average non-celeb kiddo. Not only can you indulge in brunch and tasty breakfast items, but many locations are also open for lunch and dinner, too. And while the kids might want something indulgent like pancakes or berry and banana smothered French toast, we’d hazard a guess that Kourtney sticks to dishes like fresh fruit salad and grilled vegetable quinoa hash instead.
8 Hitting The Spot With Some Grill
Another family favorite for the Kardashian-Jenners is The Grill On The Alley, a casual steakhouse that has seen the likes of not only a Kris Jenner birthday bash but also a family dinner with Kourtney and Scott and their kids, plus Kourtney and an assortment of kids (both hers and her sister’s) before a fun-filled day of fall activities. Clearly, this is a great spot with plates for kids and for the more nuanced palates of grownups like the super-picky Kourtney. After all, she’s cut all kinds of undesirable ingredients out of her home pantry—she likely vets her restaurant picks thoroughly.
7 Khloe & Tristan Enjoy Date Nights At Craig’s
Every time Khloe and her man Tristan Thompson step out together, the paparazzi are all over them—and this was the case when the pair went on a date night at local-to-them eatery Craig’s. The West Hollywood restaurant is a top date night pick for the whole clan, too—word on the street is Kris Jenner and her beau Corey Gamble have been seen there, too. But this time Khloe stole the show in her stunning suit, and this was a few months after their daughter True’s birth, so the cameras really were on Khloe. But they should have been on her plate instead—Craig’s is known for tasty dishes like meatloaf and rib-eye steak.
6 The Ks Can’t Quit Serafina Meatpacking
Both Kendall and Kylie are known for hitting up Serafina Meatpacking, an Italian restaurant that’s in New York. The name might not sound delicious, but you know that if the Kardashian-Jenner ladies are eating there, it’s got to be good! And apparently, there are menu items like thin-crust pizza and homemade pasta to delight diners’ taste buds, so clearly when the girls are looking to stack some carbs, this is where they go. Of course, the ambiance might be part of the draw, too—the restaurant is in a four-story townhouse in NYC, and from the looks of it, it’s a cozy spot to hide out when you’re a hungry celeb.
5 Carbone Is A Great Spot For NYC Salads
Carbone is a self-proclaimed high-end dining establishment with a “retro-glam” atmosphere, which totally sounds totally Kardashian-Jenner to us. And while you don’t usually have to travel far for a decent salad, according to Kendall Jenner, the absolute best Caesar salad can only be found at Carbone in NYC. Of course, the restaurant also serves all kinds of food from Italy to satisfy your pasta cravings, so you don’t have to stop at just a salad. Plus, other celebs tend to frequent Carbone, including Kendall’s fellow model BFF Gigi Hadid. Of course, these gals definitely don’t overdo it on the bread basket, while the rest of us probably won’t be able to resist.
4 She’s Got A Nice Guy
Another local haunt for the Kardashian-Jenner gals is The Nice Guy, a restaurant in West Hollywood that’s too fancy for tots. The menu is full-on gourmet and there are plenty of grown-up beverages to be had, which is why it makes sense that both Kendall and Khloe would stop in often. Kendall had a birthday party there and recommended the restaurant’s meatballs to her fans via her website, while Khloe also stepped out to The Nice Guy for a girls’ date with her best friend Malika in early 2018. Obviously this spot is exclusive—other celebs who visit often include the likes of Selena Gomez, Chloe Moretz, Ariel Winter, and Kate Hudson—among many other A-listers!
3 You Can’t Top This High-Class Takeout
Although Kourtney Kardashian is known as being the most health-conscious of the family—her sisters have teased her for choosing full-grain bread and banning certain ingredients from her pantry—she still enjoys the convenience of dining out now and then. In fact, she favors Mr. Chow, a Chinese restaurant that has locations all over the greater LA area. And while it’s “upscale,” it’s still not so fancy that Kourtney has to leave her kids at home or change out of her tank top and track pants to dine there. Of course, it probably still fits Kourt’s menu restrictions, even if it is delicious.
2 Low-Key Taco Date Night Is A Jenner Thing
While it seems like Kylie’s beau Travis Scott likes to fly under the radar when it comes to his personal life—if not his professional life—the pair were spotted on a taco truck date over the summer in 2018. Their pick for Mexico-style food? Bodega Taqueria y Tequila, where Travis apparently ordered tacos—finally, something food-related to love about the guy! After all, most of the sightings of the Kar-Jenner clan involve the ladies only—it’s nice to know Travis has a passion for tacos just like the rest of us. Kylie, though? She had a chicken quesadilla, so said onlookers.
1 Can’t Forget Kanye’s Culinary Contribution
Although we’ve mostly focused on all the other K’s restaurant preferences, if we’re including Travis Scott, Scott Disick, Corey Gamble, and Tristan Thompson as part of the extended Kardashian-Jenner family, we can’t leave Kanye out! Of course, his favorite restaurant leaves a lot to be desired in terms of both taste and service. Yep, Kanye said on Twitter toward the end of 2018 that his favorite restaurant is McDonald’s. At first, fans thought it was a tongue-in-cheek comment, but that appears to not be the case. Well, at least you can some wear on your Yeezys thanks to the availability of the drive thru?
