McDonald's To Sell Cheesy Bacon Fries In 2019

Just when you thought that the items on the McDonald’s menu couldn’t get any more irresistible, they announced plans to release Cheesy Bacon Fries and reports state that they might arrive as early as 2019!

For years, McDonald's restaurants have been giving the public just what they ordered in terms of greasy burgers and fried chicken nuggets, and no, they cannot be considered haute cuisine by any means, but let’s face it, no matter what station you’re at in life, when you drive up to the take-out window and order yourself a Big Mac and fries and the smell permeates through that brown paper bag, you crack a smile … don’t lie.

Furthermore, the company has made squillions of dollars and all with the simple menu that they’ve been putting out for decades, of course with a few special item menus that run for short periods of time.

The Cheesy Bacon fries that have been announced look to us like a keeper, but who’s to say what the future holds?

The important thing is that they’ll be around for a decent period of time - or at least, we hope.

For consumers north of the border, especially in the province of Quebec, we’ve already been privy to having bacon on our fries, as many of the restaurants serve “Poutine,” a local Quebecois dish of fries topped with curd cheese and gravy and any other assortment of ingredients. Popular recipes included deep-fried chicken pieces, pulled pork, and yes, even maple bacon.

Albeit, the future recipe announced will feature only cheese and succulent bacon and no gravy, the novelty may do better in the US than Canada, but that’s nor definitive or assured, as consumers are pretty fickle these days.

Even though the official national release date is set for early 2019, there have been a few locations that have featured the cheesy bacon fries on the current menu and the buzz was indeed felt. These locations have been reported as being in Hawaii and Northern California.

In a hilarious statement made by a McDonald’s representative to Business Insider, spirits were indeed high and positive when asked about the new menu: “…I'm afraid I'll have to provide a cheesy no comment … at this moment, our kitchens are bacon-ing something together. But we're not yet ready to share the gouda news …"

Cheesy statements indeed, but the nation is indeed abuzz and initial sales may prove to be quite outstanding.

Let’s face it, people … you’ve got fries … and McDonald’s fries at that, tasty bacon, and melted cheese! Honestly … what’s not to love.

See y’all in line at the golden arches!
