10 Strange Movie Star Backstage Food Demands

When it comes to the celebrities working in Hollywood, what they eat on a daily basis is widely discussed. These are some of the most gorgeous celebrities in the world we're talking about — who doesn't want to know how they're nurturing their bodies?!

When it comes to preparing for a role, some celebrities take preparation to another level. Whether they're trying to lose weight, gain weight, or simply stay in shape, what these stars put in their mouths matter.

It doesn't take a nutritionist to know that eating healthy foods like fish and grains pays off big time, but these celebs asked for weirder things than fish in their dressing rooms... When it came time to chow down, check out the strange things these 10 celebrities requested.

10 JENNIFER LOPEZ: ALL WHITE EVERYTHING

Jennifer Lopez is equal parts brilliant and stunning. She can sing, dance, act, and she's a mother to two children. How does she have the time to even eat?

Well, according to Smoking Gun, when it came time for JLo to eat, she requested all white everything. Her dressing room needed to be decorated with white decor and so did her food. So if you think this gal is snacking on tomatoes or red apple, you'd be wrong.

9 CHANNING TATUM: PB&J AND CHEETOS

Probably one of the more stranger meal options on this list is what Channing Tatum adores eating. According to Delish, he adores a classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich on white bread with *drum roll, please* Cheetos on top! He also prefers smooth peanut butter over crunchy and more jelly than peanut butter. To be honest, this sounds like a meal his young daughter would prefer more.

8 ALISON SWEENY: TURKEY BURGER AND BLUEBERRIES

Alison Sweeney is most known for her job on Days of Our Lives. She's been portraying Sami since 1993! Sweeney does appear in TV movies as well, and when she's on set she adores having a nice juicy turkey burger.

But that's not all. On top of her turkey burger, she enjoys adding blueberry jam! We're sure there's a classic cooking moment with this recipe but thinking of turkey and blueberries together sounds a bit weird.

7 CHRIS PRATT: A DIET BASED ON THE BIBLE?

Jurassic World's Chris Prat is a holy man. He believes so strongly in his religion, in fact, that he even eats according to what his religious beliefs are.

In a diet called the Daniel Fast, Chris only eats what's in the bible for 21 days in a row: fruit, vegetables, and bread. That's it. There are a few roles Pratt needed to get in shape for, Guardians of the Galaxy being one of those. Following this diet made Chris stay strict with his meals and allowed himself to get rid of toxins.

6 MICHAEL FASSBENDER: CANNED SARDINES

Actor Michael Fassbender lost 33 pounds for his role in Hunger. How exactly did he lose so much weight in a short amount of time? Besides walking miles at a time and working out, he also ate something rather unusual after filming: a can of sardines.

Packed with protein, these canned sardines are super salty and, well, slimy. They are fish after all. But if requesting canned sardines is the only thing the set had to worry about preparing for him, then that's an easy day.

5 ANNE HATHAWAY: OATMEAL PASTE

Les Misérables was an iconic film that had loads of stars acting in it. To fulfill her role as Fantine, the actress lost 25 pounds. While on set, she only ate around 500 calories a day — which included a cleanse and dried oatmeal paste. (If you weren't aware that oatmeal paste was a thing, you're not alone.) In order to look the part, she had to look sick and unwell. And while I'm sure Anne would rather eat anything else, she stuck with her strict diet for the sake of the movie.

4 JESSICA CHASTAIN: SOY ICE CREAM

Jessica Chastain is in so many amazing movies it's hard to keep up. But one of her more iconic roles was playing Celia Foote in The Help.

While filming, Jessica needed to appear thicker and bustier. As a vegan, she had to gain 15 pounds for the part, so what did she ask to eat while on set? Soy ice cream!

3 JARED LETO: AN ICE CREAM CONCOCTION WITH AN ASIAN SPIN

Actor Jared Leto is known for altering his appearance to fit different roles. He'd do anything for his art and it shows. While filming Chapter 27, Leto gained a whopping 67 pounds to play Mark David Chapman and boy, did he feel the pain. In order to gain that much weight, he drank a concoction of "Haagen-Dazs ice cream, olive oil, and soy sauce," according to Star Pulse.

After gaining that much weight, Leto complained about feeling the pain in his feel — not being able to walk long distances because of it

2 ASHTON KUTCHER: NOTHING BUT FRUIT

Ashton Kutcher is, more or less, known for comedic roles but it was his portrayal of Steve Jobs that gave him the acknowledgment he deserved. Apparently, when Ashton was portraying Jobs, he ate nothing but fruit because Jobs was a fruitarian – meaning the only thing he ate was fruit. After only eating raw fruits for days on end, Ashton said his levels were all out of whack and it concerned him.

1 MICHELLE PFEIFFER: TOMATO SOUP & CIGARETTES

Michelle Pfieffer is well-known for playing Elvira in Scarface. To get ready to play such a hard role as an addict, she lost a lot of weight to look the part. In fact, she wanted to look skinnier and skinnier as the movie progressed, which means she asked for nothing but tomato soup on set. Oh, and she smoked a ton of cigarettes to curb her appetite. She took her diet to such extremes that the cast was actually scared for her and kept trying to sneak her bagels!
