The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has deemed Disneyland as “America’s Most Vegan-Friendly Amusement Park” due to the various food options they offer for vegans. It truly is the happiest place on Earth because everyone can enjoy the park; there’s something for people of all ages, diets, and cultures. We’re all united in our love for Disney and how long we all need to wait for rides.

In a statement by the Director of Student Campaigns and Influence, Rachelle Owen, Disneyland was dubbed the “Happiest Place On Earth For Young Vegans.” They cited various food options available at the park for vegans, and there’s a lot more compared to other theme parks. The examples they gave were both delicious and in-theme with the Disney feel: egg-free Mickey-shaped waffles, vegan gumbo in a bread bowl, BBQ jackfruit and Portobello Philly sandwiches, and vegan sorbet dipped in dark chocolate and sprinkles.

Disneyland offers so many vegan options that PETA decided to make their own video food tour of the park. It features teen actress and dedicated vegan, Aubrey Miller, walking around the park and showing all the places where you can get vegan food. On their website, PETA also offers a comprehensive guide, complete with photos, of all the vegan options in the park. Each restaurant in the park has some vegan options, so dietary restrictions shouldn’t be a reason not to visit Disneyland!

For those who don’t enjoy Disneyland (um, are you okay?), PETA also mentioned three other parks who deserve honourable mentions. Cedar Point in Ohio, Epcot in Florida, and Universal Studios Hollywood also offer a lot of vegan options for their animal-loving visitors. While their food may not have the enchanted Disney-themed aesthetic, they are equally magical in taste and social consciousness.

Vegan options offered at these theme parks show that they care about the enjoyment of their visitors. Dietary restrictions shouldn’t be a reason for enjoying less than others in the happiest place on Earth. With vegan options available, all the enchanted animals are surely singing and dancing happily in the theme park.
