Rugrats' Reptar Bars Are Back In Time For The Holidays

Let's turn the wheels of time back to the '90s, folks. Fans of Nickelodeon’s iconic cartoon Rugrats can now turn their tongue blue (yes, blue!) with Nickelodeon’s Reptar Bars, which can be found at FYE in the spirit of a holiday makeover.

The popular 1990s show followed a group of toddlers, most prominently Tommy, Chuckie, twins Phil and Lil, and Angelica, and their day-to-day lives, usually involving common life experiences that quickly turn into extraordinary adventures in the kids' imaginations.

To those poor souls who don't speak rugrat, let us enlighten you as to what a Reptar Bar is. It was first a product of fiction from the first Halloween episode of  "Candy Bar Creep Show". It is a chocolate bar based on Reptar, the rugrats' favorite dinosaur. It originally featured a milk chocolate coating and a green-tinted frosting in its center. On the show, there is even a jingle associated with the Reptar Bar:

"A Reptar Bar is chocolate and nuts and caramel and green stuff and-and-and it’s swirled and stirred and rippled and beaten and sweetened until you can’t stop eatin’. The superist! The duperist! The double chocolate scooperist! The meanest. The best! It’s better than the rest! Reptar Bar! Reptar Bar! The candy bar supreme! The candy bar that turns your tongue green!"

Last year, FYE  created mass hysteria among ’90s babies, when it launched the fictional "Rugrats" snack. Many flocked to their local stores to get their hands on the chocolate bar  which, of course, turned their tongues green.

More than a year later, the sweet treat is back exclusively at FYE, but this time around things are a little bit different. Rugrat die-hards can get a five-pack of 1.75-ounce “Reptar on Ice” bars for $19.99, which swap the famous green frosting for blue.

According to the Daily Meal, FYE is also selling chocolate in the shape of the beloved cartoon dinosaur called the “Reptar Bar Deluxe”, which is made with caramel milk chocolate, peanut crunch and green frosting filling “shaped into the hottest dinosaur around.” You can find it in two separate holiday-themed packages. One plainly features a Christmas tree and presents, while the other shows Tommy Pickles and Chuckie Finster playing around in the snow.

Well, we don't know about you guys, but we will sure be making a trip to the nearest FYE as soon as possible!
