In order to prepare for her starring role in Dreamgirls, Queen Bey went all out by committing to ‘The Master Cleanse,’ an all-liquid diet that has participants eating nothing but lemon juice, maple syrup, and pepper. The cleanse promises to detox the system.

The singer reportedly lost a whopping 20 pounds in 14 weeks doing the cleanse- which sounds more scary rather than impressive! Health professionals have also questioned its safety. "I have a huge problem with any cleanse that doesn't allow you to have food,” celebrity fitness expert Latreal Mitchel told E! News about the diet. “At the end of the day, all you're giving yourself is lemon and sugar. It's not going to sustain you."
